2009 - A Kansas City White Christmas

Every year everyone says they want a White Christmas.

Here in KC that only happens 18% of the time and it's usually not that impressive.

In 2009 they got their wish bigtime. At our house we got about 4 - 6 inches with lots of drifting.

These shots were taken on the afternoon of Christmas day while snow was still drifting down (and blowing around).

Someone (who hadn't been out) wanted pictures to prove it was a Christmas snow.

Once she stepped off into the yard she changed her mind. :)
